‘The Divine Venusian’ captures an otherworldly landscape. The Divine Feminine is a spiritual concept that prioritises the feminine counterpart in the patriarchal system against masculine worship structures that have long dominated organised religions. The femininity of mother-nature is utilised to carry strong female energy throughout the painting. Acrylic paint has been manipulated to create a soft, interchangeable coloured sky as its background. The almost Northern Lights-like effect was applied to develop the concept of this scene being situated on another planet. Contrasting with the cooler colours used in the sky, the planet Venus uses warmer colours, holding a place of strength on the canvas. In the foreground stands a strong yet withered tree sitting amongst water reflecting the sky above. The branches and trunks of the tree can be interpreted as female bodies and curves amongst the jagged structure.
