‘Resilience’ is focused on the condition of endometriosis, a female disease of the uterus. I wanted to focus on the topic as I have had endometriosis since a young age and it is such a misunderstood disease. In my time of suffering from endometriosis I have not only been physically incompetent at times but I have had emotionally unstable occurrences. My body of work explores images that represent moments of my emotions being impacted whilst in different physical states, to represent the impact this disease has on my daily activities. The colours used are a representation of the impact of endometritis, as at times I have felt dampened by the dull colours of pain mixed with vibrant colours of life.
